The hotel room is beautiful with view of the garden and fish pond which was very relaxing and unique. My son enjoyed feeding the fish very much! Booking of the private sauna rooms worked well and the hot stone chairs are a must!

Amazing onsen resort. We booked a room with a private bath as we both have tattoos, so using the communal onsens can be tricky. The private rooms are gorgeous. The garden views and private tub are amazing and the traditional Japanese style rooms are so beautiful. The beds were incredibly comfy! Definitely get the full kaiseki style dinner at least one of the nights as it is a beautiful and delicious experience.

Metei no Yado Kosher is a traditional ryokan in the small town of Isawa Onsen. The property is stunningly beautiful. The hotel rooms surround a traditional Japanese garden that is magically beautiful. Everything is considered. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. There is a public onsen but there are also private onsens, saunas, and hot rock bed rooms, which was great because you can enjoy the benefits in private, if you prefer this, rather than with others (which is the usual Japanese way). The food was also exceptional. We loved every minute and would definitely return!

This was a wonderful ryokan experience. Our room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the inner garden. The dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious. The staff were kind, attentive, and helpful. They went out of their way to communicate with us in English to provide a good experience. The spa facilities were clean and relaxing. They even provided some treats and amenities that made it feel like a luxury experience. We would love to stay here again!

- both dinner and breakfast are quite good - in room introduction book is hand-written and you can tell it was done with heart - both public and private onsen are good, i like the public onsen more - check in staff was very helpful and help me understand everything with the help of Google translate - in general, recommend the stay if you travel around Kofu

The atmosphere is so good in this hotel. Everything is just beautiful. The dinner was so foreigner friendly but they make it look 5 star!

Awesome room, bath and meals. Parking area is big enough and very easy to get cars in and out. Dinner and breakfast are at exceptional quality. Highly recommended.
